Network Outsourcing

Network outsourcing allows both enterprise, small business and content based Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to purchase network services from an Infrastructure based Network Service Provider (NSP), and receive the benefits of the network management, and cost savings rather than building the network themselves. This also results in cost savings for network hardware, as well as telecommunications cost, since many of these services offerings are priced based on monthly usage rather than fixed charges.

Network outsourcing can be done via outsourcing the infrastructure portion or the network infrastructure inclusive of the customer premise equipment (CPE), as in a managed network service.

There are two different examples of outsourcing a network. One is when a Services or Content based Internet Service Provider purchases network capacity from an Infrastructure based Network Service Provider, wholesale access services or NSP/ISP outsourcing. The second example is when an enterprise customer wishes to purchase network outsourcing services from an NSP/ISP, Enterprise Outsourcing.
